Butt fuck nowhere
We've been back in Nova Scotia for a while now. We have an apartment outside Kentville, well actually it's in the middle of nowhere. Since we moved in we've been trying to figure out exactly where we are. Kentville, Centerville, Upper Canard, Upper Dyke...who the fuck knows. Anyway, we're so in the boonies niether Eastlink nor Aliant will service us buttoday we found a company who will and we will have cable/internet on thursday. Totally off subject, we think someone is fucking with our heads. Here's what happened. About a week ago Pursey, our cat, comes home without his handsome red collar. He went without for a few days before we bought him a nice green one. Then this morning after he had been out for a few hours we leave for work and see him on the lawn chowin' down on a mouse and he has his old red collar on. What the fuck!!! Rachel thought we had his identical twin for a few days and now the real Pursey has returned. After some discussion I convinced her that it couldn't possibbly be any other cat. Holy Fucking Fuck!
It's been a fucking long time. Here's what's been goin' on. I quit my job at Michelin which in hindsight was a bad call. I moved home to Labrador where I, along with Rachel the kitties and rodents, shacked up with Jolene after her generous offer to let us room for a while for free. She kicked us out 'cause we were too dirty I think. Stupid bitch. We moved in with mom. I got a job at Wabush Convience and quit to work at the bar in the Great Wall where Rachel was waitressing. This job was going splendedly, I was making great tips and got to basically do nothing all night. Then my bosses left for China and put Ruby the head waitress in charge. Ruby started shitting on Rachel for no good reason and cut her hours. Rachel quit. Then Jennifer the other bartender quit and Ruby begged Rachel to come back as waitress/barteder, and she did. Things were good again for about a week then Ruby started shitting on her again. We started talking about moving back to Nova Scotia when we had the funds. The next day Rachel finds out that her father was hit by a car and was in bad shape. Two days later we're on the road. And now we're both waiting on jobs, borrowing money where we can and waiting to hear back about an excellent apartment tonight. Make that just got the excellent apartment. Yay. Fucking Hamster!
So Electricity managed to escape from her cage again this morning. It's fucking retarded. The first time she got out it was because Pursey knocked the top off her cage but this time when we caught her and went to put her back everything was intacted. She's a fucking escape artist! Luckly Pursey was outside this time and Ravi really doesn't know what to do with living rodent. Rachel was so fucking freaked though. She was asleep and woke up to something moving around inside her pillow case. I thought I was gonna shit my clothes because I was sure it was a mouse or a rat but when I saw it was Electricity I fucking died. Too funny. Funny!
This is fuckin' funny, so prepare yourself. I'm laying in bed this morning with Rachel watching the new episode of CSI that we taped from last night and I hear some serious growling in the living room. Assuming that it was Pursey and Ravi (the cats) getting into it I went to break it up because Ravi got fixed only a couple of days ago. I see Pursey chasing something across the floor but it wasn't Ravi. It was small and white. My first thought was "Oh God, Winston!". Winston being my dead mouse I realized it was mostly certainly not. I turn on the light to see Electricity, one of my hamsters, frantically scurrying away from the cat. I grab Pursey, throw him in the bedroom and shut the door. I spend about 10 minutes trying to get the fucking hamster with my hands before deciding to recruit some help. Together Rachel and I try to corner Electricity but she is much too evasive. Finally Rachel says the best way to grab her is to lore her into a box with food. So we locate her once more and I bait her with a peanut, which she happily grabs onto long enough for me to pick her up peanut first, dangling from her mouth, and drop her a box. Poor Cho
Margaret Cho is dying and it sucks. I'm pretty choked up but at least it's within the 2 weeks so I can get a free hamster. She's all still for a minute than spazes for a minute, I can tell she's in a lot of pain. It's weird 'cause I wasn't near this upset when Winston Churchill died and I had him much longer. Poor Cho. New addition to the family
I got a kitty! She's a tabby, grey with lots of black strips and kinda looks like lynx in the face but more like a hyena over all. We called her Ravi, it's Hindi for strips. She's really timid right now, jumps every time one of us moves, but she's warming up fast. Aren't any pics though. If I can find a scanner there will be eventually. Good Times
I finally went to get my car safety inspected today. The fucker didn't pass, though I'm not surprised. So, after almost making Rachel late for work I had to go buy some struts and bring them to the mechanic and I've got to go there for a few hours after I get off work Wednesday morning. Fun. But on a much happier note, I surprised the shit outta Rachel today by showing up to pick her up from work with flowers and some gifts as well as a picnic for an early anniversary celebration. That's right, it's one month as of Thursday and I'm working, but I'm sure we'll still do something after I get off. But, yeah, she was really blown away. Go me. All is good in the world again
This post is a little late coming, I've been wicked busy with work and stuff. Anyway, myself and Rachel are back together. Squee. And things are beyond amazing. I'm almost glad she broke up with me now because it really made me think and I realized that I was holding back way too much and now we couldn't be doing better. So...Yeah, this was saturaday I believe. It was the first day I actually managed to get her to hang out with me. We went to the beach for a bit but the tide came in so we went to the zoo and they whole day was very date like, especially the part where she kissed me by the lion den. It was like no time had passed in between and now we're happy and just loving life. Good stuff. And tomorrow is Sackville, NB day. Rachel went to University there so she's gonna introduce me to some of her best buds and show me around some of her fav. places. I'm excited. Intuition
For about the last year, maybe longer I've had this nagging feeling following me around. I just knew that something completely life altering was gonna happen to me. I was sure it was going to be some devastating event because of the huge flow of death and sickness I've seen in the lives of those close to me. I realized this morning that that feeling went away very recently and without and explosive situation. In fact there is only one significant change that has occurred in the time frame, and it's definately a good thing. I can't believe how happy I am. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe the feeling is not gone, just clouded by other things, but it doesn't matter 'cause I'm happy and I like being happy. P.s. check out the wicked new icon. I haven't upadted in so long. So first off I moved to Kentville, NS a couple weeks ago and I love it here. I got a job at michelin and I really like it. I met a girl who is absolutely fantastic and I really like her. I know it isn't that strange for me to like someone but the wierd part is she likes me too. We haven't met in person yet 'cause she's in Ontario now but she's moving back to Kentville on Tuesday. We have been talking for only a few days but I already know she's something special. I really hope I don't fuck it up. Myself and Cheryl are driving to PEI Friday for Canada day, it should be a blast. Drinking, swimming, concerts and fireworks. That's my kinda celebration. I'm so excites to see Hedley and the Hip, only one thing could make it better. You can go ahead and make your own assumptions on what I mean by that. I'm a frosted lemon coward
I hate my job. It's nowhere near as interesting as I thought it would be. I've spent 4 weeks infront of a fucking computer and I'm not even getting paid. Not only do I hate computers, but I was promised this job would be very hands on. So far I've touched nothing. Every time I think they're gonna let me do something cool they make me watch a gauge or press a button or something. Well I say suck my ass DRDC. In other news I won't be coming home this summer. BAH!
Why does MSN suck? I need it! I'm not even allowed to have my cell phone here 'cause it has a camera and that's against security regulations. And I just don't feel right using my supervisor's phone for personal calls, so I'm stuck at work with absolutely no way of contacting the outside world. Oh yeah, for those of you who don't know I'm doing a work term for Defense and Research Development Canada-Atlantic part of the Department of National Defense. Cool beans, right? Close. It's unpaid, but only 5 weeks and I've got 2 down already. Then I'm officially a Mechanical Engineering Technologist and I'll be working at the Michelin plant in Waterville, NS. Gonna be making big bucks too when I get promoted to maintenance next month, assuming I pass the exam. I've already taken it and passed 2 outta 4 parts so it should be a breeze. So there's your official update. Someone give me call and let me know how shit is in Lab.
